Description

Madeira Embroidery is a typical embroidery of the Madeira archipelago, in Portugal. The fabrics used are linen, silk, cotton, and organdy. This technique was further developed from the 19th century onwards when Madeira embroidery began to be sold all over the world. Madeira embroidery factories are in Funchal, although, traditionally, embroiderers carry out those embroidery in their homes, all over the island. Madeira Embroidery includes table, bed, bath items, handkerchiefs, children’s clothing, and small items to give away or to give yourself. The pieces, true works of art, are inspired by the flowers and fruits of Madeira, all with great elegance, refinement, and purity.

All our Madeira Embroidery pieces have a guarantee seal, which testifies to the quality and authenticity of the pieces produced on the island of Madeira.
